There several different calendars available on the JEFA site. In addition to getting to those calendars from their associated sections, you can also get to them from this page. All calendars start with a look at the current year where you can find indications of events happening thoughout the year. To see what a specific indicator is, choose the link on the left side of that calendar and go that specific month. There you will see the month, the title of the event on the calendar of that month, and, below the calendar, a detailed description of that event.

The Club Calendar may also be chosen from within the Board section. This calendar is where you will find such things as club meetings, the club open houses, and other items relating to general JEFA membership.

The Training Calendar may also be selected from within the Training section. This calendar is where you will find scheduled JEFA training classes such as the Private Pilot groundschool, Instrument Groundschool, and the G1000 transition grounschool, among others. Most classes run for several sessions and each class set will be displayed on the annual calendar with a different color to tell you the time span the class covers.

The Area Events Calendar may also be chosen from within the Flying section. This calendar is where you will aviation-related events that are happening in the general area. General area has been loosely defined as being within about a 4 hour flying time, give or take. These are events such as fly-ins, Colorado Pilots Association events, WINGS seminars, and other activities. Though much effort has been used in collecting and posting these events from a number of different sources, it is quite possible that something has been missed. If you know of an event that has not been posted but would be of interest to the JEFA membership, let us know and we'll get it posted. Send those notices to charles@pondrushes.net

The Sporting Events calendar is not like the other calendars, but is a listing of the major sporting events in the area. It may also be selected from the Flying section. This calendar is intended to help us all avoid breaking the TFR that is in effect for sporting events at the major stadia in the area. This calendar is not intended to be a replacement for a good pre-flight check. Remember, GAMES CHANGE and it's the responsibility of the PIC to do a thorough check.
