Flight Planning

This is the Jeppesen Flight Planning Page.

It's summer time, don't forget to check the TFRs for sporting events.   If there's a stadium along the route that has a capacity of 30,000 or more, you must keep a 3 mile distance from the stadium.   Major area athletic teams are Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium, Colorado State Rams  at Ft. Collins, University of Colorado Buffaloes at Boulder, and Air Force Academy Falcons.   This list is by no means a list of all teams or sports.   It is up to the PIC to obtain all applicable TFRs.   And while we're talking TFRs, don't forget that the elections are coming up and that Presidential TFRs MOVE WITH THE PRESIDENT.   Do yourself a favor and call flight service even if you're only going up to shoot touch and goes.   A guy at BJC got nabbed in a Presidential TFR just by doing one circuit in the pattern to check an engine cylinder he was working on!

Don't forget to file a Flight Plan!   Don't forget to open and close the Flight Plan!
